Nuvano Pure: Better spray performance starts with your water

Prairie Ag Solutions • January 19, 2026

Your spray program is only as good as the water carrying it. Many hard water sources run pH 6.5 to 8.5 and are loaded with calcium and magnesium. Meanwhile, many tank mixed pesticides and crop inputs tend to perform best when the spray solution is closer to pH 4 to 6.

That’s where Nuvano Pure comes in. It is designed to optimize spray water before you add the rest of your chemistry.

What it does in the tank

  • Modifies pH: Nuvano says 1 to 2 pints per 100 gallons can drop tank pH by 2 to 4 points, moving water into a more optimal range for spraying.
  • Conditions water: After pH drops, bicarbonates can still tie up crop inputs. Nuvano Pure uses a conditioning approach intended to hold bicarbonates so they cannot react with what you add next.
  • Supports uptake: It also acts as a surfactant, designed to stick to the leaf and help inputs enter the plant through transcellular activity.

How to use it

Rate: 1 to 2 pints per 100 gallons, based on starting pH and carbonate or bicarbonate levels. Higher levels typically call for the higher rate.
